Chelsea has gone up through Mason Mount who was scoring in his fourth consecutive game before Chelsea conceded again for the sixth consecutive time in all competitions.

The Blues early season form which saw them set the pace at the top has now dimmed with the West London side now in third place place on the log.

Being the third time in five Premier League games that the team has failed to pick maximum points, coach Tuchel said it’s too easy to take points off his side without him being unable to give vivid explanation for it.

When asked whether Chelsea did enough to win the Everton game, Tuchel told talkSPORT: “I think that’s not only my feeling. I think this game can only have one winner. In terms of quality, investment, and chances.”

“But obviously, it’s very easy at the moment to steal points from us. We let teams get away with points and draws. We have the lead and also we have good quality, huge chances. It’s like this and it’s too often.”

When asked to explain why, Tuchel responded: “I don’t know.”

He added: “First, I need to know why, and then I need to make sure it doesn’t happen anymore.”

Chelsea may be missing some of their core players due to injury and Covid-19 outbreak that kept four players out but the coach did admit they had the game to lose.

“We miss a lot of players, of course,” he continued.

“But listen, we had a lot of chances to be two or three-nil up in the first-half.

“I’m not happy to always talk about players who are missing. But the big difference between City, Liverpool and us is that they have a full squad.

“We have been missing central midfielders for eight weeks. And this hurts us, obviously.”

Eddie Howe and Mickey Gray feels Newcastle we’re controversially undone in their 1-3 loss to Liverpool on Thursday night.

The Magpies raced into an early lead before being pegged back by a Diogo Jota goal before the half hour mark. It was however in a controversial version as Isaac Haden was reeling on the turf with a head injury before the Portuguese levelled scored.

Referee Mike Dean and the VAR team failed to see any undoing leading up to the goal and that caused reactions from the Newcastle players and even their coach after the game had something to say. “I felt the turning point in the game was an obvious one. I can’t understand why the game isn’t stopped [for Liverpool’s first].

“Isaac Hayden is clearly holding his head immediately and is in our six-yard box and of course, that leads to the goal.” He said.

“The priority always has to be the safety of the player. We talk a lot at the moment about head injuries and I felt that was a wrong decision and we’ve been harshly treated today.”

Gray spoke on the decision not to award a penalty to the away side following Ibrahima Konate’s tackle on Joelinton.

“Newcastle are in the Kop End. One of their players goes to ground. It was great play from Allan Saint-Maximin to put the ball in the area.

“If there’s no contact with the ball, it has to be a penalty!”
