Thomas Tuchel: German Gaffer Speaks Out On His Future Amid EPL Interest
Written By Albert Echatah
Amid rumours that he wants to return to the Premier League, Thomas Tuchel says he will not waver from Bayern Munich until the end of the season.
More Details
The former Chelsea manager will step down in the summer, Bayern Munich said earlier this week, following a dismal run of defeats.
Tuchel began his Bayern career with a positive start after Julian Nagelsmann’s shocking dismissal a year ago, but his performance has declined recently.
Following last week’s 1-0 setback away from home in the last 16 first leg match, their hopes of defending the Bundesliga crown were all but dashed. In the Champions League, they will also need to rally from behind to upset Lazio.
If Erik ten Hag leaves, the 50-year-old is rumoured to have his sights set on the Manchester United position, but Tuchel is emphatic that nothing about his future will be resolved before he completes his duties to Bayern.
‘Nothing’s going to happen with me before the end of the season,’ he said ahead of this weekend’s game against RB Leipzig.
‘I’m not going to have any influence now on what happens to me after the summer. This job only works if I give 100 percent of myself. I have a very high professional expectation of myself and that’s completely dedicated to Bayern Munich until the end of the season.’

Manchester United have announced that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s official 27.7% takeover of the team in exchange for a £1.3 billion agreement has now been completed.
Ratcliffe said: ‘To become co-owner of Manchester United is a great honour and comes with great responsibility.
‘This marks the completion of the transaction, but just the beginning of our journey to take Manchester United back to the top of English, European and world football, with world-class facilities for our fans. Work to achieve those objectives will accelerate from today.’
