Barlow arrives from Chicago Fire FC, where he tallied five goals across 50 MLS appearances over the past two years.
“Tom is a forward with a wealth of experience in our league, and his skillset is an excellent addition to our attack,” said general manager Chris Albright.
“He’s a player of high character and a great teammate, and we’d like to welcome him and his family to Cincinnati.”

The 30-year-old forward originally entered the league as the 39th overall pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.
He spent the first six seasons of his professional career with Red Bull New York, where he tallied 18 goals over 140 appearances, including three post-season strikes.
Looking ahead, FC Cincinnati is set to kick off its 2026 season on February 21 with a nationally televised home opener against Atlanta United. In addition to league play, the club is also slated to compete in the Concacaf Champions Cup this year.
