Adarabioyo, whose contract expires at the end of the month, is reportedly joining Chelsea in order to play in Europe as they have qualified for the Europa Conference League for the following season.

In April, former Manchester City academy center-back Adarabioyo turned down a chance to become one of Fulham’s highest-paid players.

“Chelsea is a huge club and this is a full-circle moment for me. I was born three miles away from Stamford Bridge and made my professional debut there,” Adarabioyo said.

“I’m very excited and looking forward to helping push the club in the direction we want to go.”

After coach Bernardo Cueva leaves Brentford for Chelsea in a £750,000 deal to create a set-piece department, Chelsea hopes he can help them improve their record in both attacking and defensive set-pieces.

Trevoh Chalobah, Chelsea academy defender who is for sale this summer and has reportedly drawn attention from Manchester United, may go sooner rather than later as a result of Adarabioyo’s arrival.

According to reports, Premier League clubs have approved the introduction of a development plan that will curb spending beginning with the 2025–2026 season.

The spending cap proposals were approved by 16 teams, and their goal is to keep the gap between the Premier League’s lower-half teams and its financial titans from growing.

Nevertheless, a report from BBC Sport claims that three teams vying for European football—Manchester United, Manchester City, and Aston Villa—are thought to have voted against the proposal.
