Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that two key players, Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min, will not be available for their home match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

This decision comes after their recent UEFA Europa League victory over Manchester United, which ended a 17-year trophy drought for the Lilywhites.

Postecoglou also noted that Yves Bissouma is a doubt for the game due to a knock sustained in the final. Thousands of Spurs fans celebrated their UEFA Europa League victory with a parade in North London on Friday, and the festive atmosphere lasted late into the night.
Despite the revelry, Ange Postecoglou and his team still have a match on Sunday against Brighton and Hove Albion, their final game of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Since Tottenham have secured the Europa League trophy and a spot in the Champions League, this upcoming league match, much like their recent ones, holds little significance.
In his pre-match press conference, Ange Postecoglou revealed his team’s latest injury updates. He stated that several players who participated in Tottenham’s Europa League victory in Bilbao, such as Cristian Romero, Heung-min Son, and possibly Yves Bissouma, will not be available for the final league match of the season against Brighton.

“Romero has been struggling with his toe for quite a while so we’ll leave him out and probably Sonny because his foot has still not healed.
“They’ve both sort of made a massive effort to get to the final. Bissouma got a knock in the game and he’s kind of 50/50 at the moment.
“Bissouma got a knock in the game and he’s kind of 50/50 at the moment. The rest of them, physically anyway, are ok,” Postecoglou told Football London.
