Miguel Gutierrez has surfaced on the radar of many La Liga clubs for a loan deal in the January transfer window, according to a report by Catalan newspaper El Nacional. The 20-year-old, however, has yet to decide where he will play in the second half of the season and is not ruling out staying at Real Madrid.
Miguel Gutierrez joined Spanish giants Real Madrid as a ten-year-old from Getafe in 2011 and has made considerable improvement since then. After impressing in the age-division teams and Real Madrid Castilla, the young Spaniard made his first-team debut at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Since then, the 20-year-old has made nine more appearances for Real Madrid, albeit just four of them have occurred this season. For the most part, Gutierrez has been relegated to the Castilla side, especially after Ferland Mendy’s comeback from a long injury layoff. The attention of Granada has been drawn to this problem.
Granada and Real Madrid share a healthy relationship, with the Nazaries signing Jesus Vallejo and Alberto Soro from Los Blancos in recent years. The Andalusian club has now set sights on Gutierrez, although the interest in the young Real Madrid defender comes as a surprise.
The Spaniard could still choose to stay put at Real Madrid and spend most of the second half of the season playing for the Castilla side. However, with Los Blancos interested in Alex Sandro, the young Spanish defender might not have a bright future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Meanwhile…
Spanish giants Real Madrid will not attempt to sign Erling Haaland this summer, according to a report from Tomas Gonzalez Martin of ABC. The club plan to focus all of their attention on the Kylian Mbappe signing, a transfer that has been years in the making, and would only sign Erling Haaland if he stayed at Borussia Dortmund for another season. In 2023, Karim Benzema’s contract expires and the Norwegian would have an open spot available to occupy in the attack.
Los Blancos currently believes that it would be too difficult to incorporate Haaland into the side, given the importance of Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior.
The Brazilian would likely become the odd man out and the club do not want to slow down Vinicius Junior’s rapid progression. According to the same report from ABC, Florentino Perez wants to give Kylian Mbappe the protagonist role he yearns for and the prominence his transfer deserves.
