According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid are interested in signing Noussair Mazraoui on a Bosman deal during the summer transfer season. The Ajax defender is also a target for Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, and will be a free agent after the 2022/23 season.
Since making his first-team debut for Ajax a few years ago, Noussair Mazraoui has established himself as one of the top players in the Eredivisie. Following Sergino Dest’s move to Barcelona in September 2020, he has stepped up his game even more.
The Moroccan international has five goals and three assists in 25 appearances across all competitions this season, establishing himself as a significant figure for both club and country. However, Mazraoui’s current season will most likely be his penultimate with Ajax, since he recently voiced his wish to embark on a new adventure. The attention of Barcelona and Real Madrid has been drawn to this scenario.
Sergino Dest’s struggle to impress Xavi Hernandez in recent months has piqued Barcelona’s curiosity. As a result, the USMNT international has been placed on Barcelona’s transfer list, with the Catalan club expected to unload him during the summer transfer window. Dani Alves was recently re-signed by the Blaugrana, but he will only be a short-term solution.
As a result, Barcelona will need to look for a right-back in the summer transfer window, with Mazraoui allegedly interested in joining them. In the race to recruit the Moroccan defender, though, Barcelona will face heavy competition from Real Madrid.
Dani Carvajal, who was widely considered as one of the top right-backs in the world for the last half-decade, has seen his form and fitness levels plummet. With Alvaro Odriozola on loan at Fiorentina, Carlo Ancelotti is limited on options at right-back, particularly with Lucas Vazquez suffering in a makeshift role this season.
Real Madrid might thus need to sign a right-back in the summer, with Nordi Mukiele one of the players on their radar. And Noussair Mazraoui has also emerged as a viable target, with the 24-year-old’s impending status as a free agent making him an attractive option.

Paris Saint-Germain have made another offer to Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman’s contract at the Parc des Princes expires at the end of this season and PSG are loathe to lose a player who’s become the most exciting in European football.
Their offer, according to Hadrien Grenier and The Independent, will make Mbappe the highest-paid player in the world at a rate of €1m per week. The report indicates that Mbappe is studying the offer, which is worrying news indeed for Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants have been pursuing Mbappe relentlessly for some time now and had been confident of signing him on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season.
