More Details

Torre, 18, reportedly has interest from both Real Madrid and Barcelona with Barca allegedly ahead in the race. Barcelona representatives reportedly met with Torre and his family in Santander back in January.

Real Madrid are reportedly not extremely confident as both Torre and Barcelona manager Xavi share agents. Both clubs are reportedly willing to include a contract between four to five seasons, but Barcelona is willing to give a higher salary.

According to reports, his termination clause is worth roughly €10 million. After Torre’s parents and Racing representatives met for contract discussions, the clause may not be honored. Special arrangements, such as staying if Racing is promoted or a wage boost, could be included in the contract, similar to Pedri’s present deal with Barcelona.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly not the only clubs interested in the young midfielder. Real Sociedad, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Arsenal, Ajax, and Twente are also said to be interested.

Real Madrid defender David Alaba rejoined the squad in training this Wednesday having recovered from the groin injury he picked up a week ago.

Alaba didn’t complete the whole session with the group and is still likely to miss Saturday’s home match against Real Sociedad as he tries to be 100% ready to face PSG in the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16, club sources told Managing Madrid.

Alaba will try to complete either Thursday or Friday’s training session with the group and that would allow him to make the squad list for Saturday’s match. Still, coach Carlo Ancelotti will likely take a cautious approach and keep him on the bench, knowing that his presence against PSG will be crucial considering that Ferland Mendy will be suspended for that game.
