More Details

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Real Madrid are interested in Yeremy Pino. With a €80 million release clause, the Merengues are keeping a close eye on the Spanish attacking sensation’s performance at another La Liga team Villarreal.

Since breaking into the first-team setup at Villarreal, Yeremy Pino has taken Spanish football by storm. Before joining the Yellow Submarine in July 2019, the 19-year-old spent his formative years with UD Las Palmas and CD Roda. He made quick work of establishing himself in the senior squad at Estadio de la Ceramica.

Following a strong 2020/21 campaign, Yeremy has continued to improve this season, appearing 33 times for Villarreal. Seven goals and four assists have been scored by the teenage prodigy in those appearances, with four of his goals coming in the last La Liga match against Espanyol. Yeremy’s achievements have not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid keeping a close eye on him.

Last summer, Real Madrid had been interested in signing Yeremy, but the Spanish offensive star elected to stay at Villarreal. Following the renewal, the 19-year-old signed a lucrative new contract with the Yellow Submarine, with his release clause increased from €35 million to €80 million.

Los Blancos are preparing for a hectic and costly window, during which they will also target Erling Haaland. Furthermore, with Yeremy only recently committing his future to Villarreal, Real Madrid may not be able to pry him away from the Estadio de la Ceramica. However, as the season progresses, they will continue to monitor the youthful prodigy’s performance.

Tickets for the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16 involving Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are sold out and around 60,000 fans will be in the stadium when the two teams meet on March 9th, according to a report from MARCA.

Real Madrid were working and planning on increasing the current capacity of the stadium, but unfortunately for the team these works will not end in time for the game. That means that the lower stands and the south end of the Bernabeu will be covered by the blue banners that have been present since the team made its return to the Bernabeu in 2021.

Ancelotti’s men need to overcome their current 1-0 deficit against PSG, so having a sold-out crowd could make an impact. However, it’s also true that the Bernabeu will not be as impressive as it’s been in other European nights due to its lower capacity.
