Two WSL Games Postponed Due To COVID-19

Two Barclays English FA Women’s Super League (WSL) games slated for next weekend have been postponed due to cases of the COVID-19 pandemic.

WSL defending Champions, Chelsea FC confirmed that Friday’s fixture against Tottenham Hotspur Women will be rescheduled.
According to the Club, the decision was agreed between both teams and the Football Association (FA) after a number of positive tests for Covid-19 were returned within the Chelsea FC Women’s team set-up after the last round of testing, combined with a number of players that are unavailable for selection due to injury.
Those who returned positive tests immediately began a period of self-isolation in accordance with Public Health England and Government guidelines.
The health and safety of Chelsea FC Women players, support staff, and fans remain paramount to the club according to the club statement.

A revised date for the match will be confirmed in due course as the club also stated that all existing tickets remain valid.

West Ham United Women also confirmed that Sunday’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL) fixture against Manchester United Women has been postponed.
The decision was also agreed between both teams and the FA due to a number of suspected positive COVID-19 cases amongst Westham players and staff.
Following the postponement of the fixture, West Ham United Women confirmed that all general admission tickets purchased for the match will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture.
A revised date for the match will be confirmed in due course.
With the postponement of the two games, four games will now go on as scheduled pending further cases of COVID-19.
