The defending European champions, who have a perfect record in La Liga thus far this season, will begin their group stage campaign this week at Celtic Park against an intriguing opponent.

With a 2-1 victory over Real Betis in the Spanish capital, Carlo Ancelotti’s team recorded their fourth consecutive league victory over the weekend.

The same 22 players from the match against Los Verdiblancos have been selected by the seasoned Italian coach for the journey to Scotland.

The team is scheduled to depart from Madrid tomorrow and practise at the Scottish champions’ stadium the night before their match on September 6.

Antonio Rudiger and Toni Kroos might perhaps be among the changes Ancelotti makes to the starting lineup that defeated Real Betis to play Ange Postecoglu’s opponents that evening.

Real Madrid talismanic midfielders Luka Modric and Toni Kroos received special accolades from Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti after a nervy win over Real Betis on Saturday.

Modric started Los Blancos’ fourth consecutive La Liga victory of the 2022–23 campaign, and Kroos later in the second half took over for the Croatian veteran.

With a combined total of 544 club appearances between them, the duo has been the cornerstone of Real Madrid’s dominance over the past ten years.
