Ukraine Suspend Women’s League After Russia’s Invasion

A few hours after Russian troops attacked Ukraine, the Ukrainian association suspended the game in Ukraine.

The originally planned start of the Women’s championship and relegation rounds was scheduled for March 19.
“Due to the imposition of martial law in Ukraine, the Ukrainian championship has been suspended,” the football association UAF said on Thursday.
Ateks Kiev was the only team in the Women’s League to go into the relegation round with 0 points.

From the two-part second division, Dynamo Kiev and Shakhtar Donetsk are the two largest Ukrainian teams at the top of the table. Both would have targeted promotion to the Women’s League.
WFC Zhytlobud-2 finishes first place in the Women’s League.
Last year’s runner-up is three points ahead of record champions WFC Zhytlobud-1.
