US NWSL: Washington Spirit Held By Houston Dash in Four Goal Thriller

After both side’s previous defeats to OL Reign and Portland Thorns, Houston Dash had to come from two-goal down to force Washington Spirit to a 2-3 draw at the BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston Texas.
Paige Nielsen gave Washington Spirit the lead in the eighth minute.
In the 53rd minute, Tara McKeown set up Tori Huster for Washington Spirit’s second goal.
Eight minutes later, Houston Dash started its resurgence as Makamae Gomera’s pass located Veronica Latsko who pulled a goal back for the host.
In the 83rd minute, Houston Dash equalised as Cameroon’s Michaela Abam’s goal saved Houston Dash’s blushes.
Houston Dash occupy the eighth position on the ten-team league with 18 points from 14 games, a point behind Washington Spirit in the sixth position.
Four games are up for grabs on Sunday as Orlando Pride hosts league leaders, Portland Thorns with the quest of ending the former’s six games unbeaten streak.
Kansas City NWSL and OL Reign will trade tackles while Gotham FC welcomes Racing Louisville.
The clash between North Carolina Courage and Chicago Women will wrap up the weekend’s round of games.
