Every January, this camp gives the USMNT coaching staff a closer look at up-and-coming players, many of whom are young players from Major League Soccer (MLS), as all 29 teams are still in the offseason. European players, on the other hand, are in-season and typically do not get called up because the camp takes place outside of the FIFA schedule.
The USMNT will compete in the 2024 Olympic Games and Copa América this summer, after defending back-to-back Concacaf Nations League crowns in March with a mix of youth and experience.
