Minnesota United’s Tani Oluwaseyi scored the first goal for Canada in the 27th minute, while Diego Luna of Real Salt Lake and Patrick Agyemang of Charlotte FC combined for the USMNT’s only goal in the 35th.
Lille striker David made no mistake with his curling effort from inside the area that eluded sprawling USMNT goalkeeper Matt Turner, earlier in the second half, Canada head coach Jesse Marsch was sent off for dissent in the second half.
Following the shocking upset against Panama, this is the second consecutive demoralising outcome for the USMNT, leaving Mauricio Pochettino with more questions than answers at the beginning of his term.

Despite their disappointment of missing the CONCACAF Nations League final, the CANMNT at least have some positive momentum to build on as they continue their own new era under Marsch thanks to this triumph.
Canada’s goalie, Dayne St. Clair, stopped the US from tying the score in the final seconds.
