USWNT, USMNT Win Big With Equal Pay
The United States (U.S) women’s national team will make more from the U.S. men advancing out of the 2022 World Cup group stage than from winning both the 2015 and 2019 World Cups.
More Details
The United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) will earn at least $13 million total for the tournament, to be split with the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) 50/50, as Lindsay Gibbs outlines in Power Plays.
The USWNT won $6 million total for their 2015 and 2019 World Cup titles.
The teams’ new collective bargaining agreement stands in contrast with FIFA’s unequal payouts for men and women.
