UWCL: Arsenal Continues Resurgence Under Renee Slegers As Bayern Maintains Unbeaten Streak

Arsenal FC women remained unbeaten since Renee Slegers took over as interim manager after a 4-0 bashing of Juventus in the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) on Tuesday.

Goals from Frida Leonhardsen-Maanum, Stina Blackstenius, Mariona Caldentey, and Caitlin Foord lifted the Gunners to their second win in Group C.

Caitlin Foord set up Maanum for the first goal of the encounter at the Campo Polisportivo Alessandro la Marmoraz Biella.

It was not until the 75th minute before the English Women’s Super League (WSL) side doubled the lead thanks to Blackstenius from Caldentey’s assist.



Caldentey made it three while Foord completed the rout in the 87th minute.

Meanwhile, goals from Pernille Harder and Giulia Gwinn ensured that Bayern Munich maintained their perfect record in the tournament.

The German champions remained Group C leaders with a maximum of nine points after three points, three points ahead of Arsenal.

Juventus sat in the third position with three points, while Valerenga sat at the basement of the log without any points.

Group A and B games will take center stage on Wednesday as clubs continue their quest to make it to the quarter-final.
