The Italian side thrashed their counterparts from Turkiye (Turkey) 6-1 in Istanbul in a one-sided match.

Six different players scored for Roma as Galatasaray conceded four goals in the second half.

Hawa Cissoko, Valentina Giacinti, Emilie Haavi, Manuela Giugliano, Marya Pandini, and Alice Corelli found the back of the net for the travelers.

Andrea Staskova’s goal for the host only spurred the visitors to score two more goals in the 84th and 87th minutes, respectively.

Giacinti, who scored the second goal of the encounter, missed a penalty in the additional minutes of the first half, which couldn’t prevent a comprehensive win for her side.

The Italians topped Group A with a maximum of six points after two games ahead of Lyon’s crucial clash with Wolfsburg.

Meanwhile, goals from four different players also propelled Spanish outfit Real Madrid to a 4-0 victory against Celtic at the Alfredo do Stefano Stadium in Madrid.

Caroline Weir, Signe Bruun, Caroline-Sophie Moller, and Linda Caicedo, who scored from the penalty spot, converted for the Spanish capital club.

The win was the first for the Madrid team in the group after a 3-2 loss to Chelsea FC last week.
