Valencia Pushing For Pau Victor Deal
Written by Oluwadamilola Olaleye
Valencia CF have identified Barcelona’s Pau Victor as a prime target to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season and as such, they have made contact with the club over a possible season long loan deal. Both clubs remain locked in negotiations although, it’s reported that the Yellow Submarine first official offer has been rebuffed but, they are set to make an improved bid.

Valencia have reportedly submitted a proposal to Barcelona to take Pau Víctor on a season-long loan for the 2025–26 campaign. The young forward is expected to leave this summer after struggling for game time last season, and the anticipated arrival of Marcus Rashford at the Camp Nou further limits his prospects.
Valencia’s offer includes a loan deal with an option to buy, and notably, the club is prepared to include penalty clauses should Víctor fail to receive sufficient first-team minutes, demonstrating their intent to make him a key part of their squad as per Diario SPORT.

In a recent meeting, Barcelona’s sporting director Deco made it clear that the club is only open to a permanent transfer for Pau Víctor and has no intention of entertaining loan offers.
Despite this firm stance, Valencia continue to push for a loan deal that includes an option to buy at the end of the 2025–26 season. Currently, negotiations have reached an impasse, but movement is expected in August. Valencia remain hopeful that Barcelona’s rigid “sale-only” position may soften over time, especially if no other club steps forward to meet the Catalans’ €10 million asking price.

Although there’s a risk that another interested party could emerge with a firm bid, Valencia feel somewhat reassured by Víctor’s desire to join them. The club is also open to including standard clauses such as a buy-back option or a future sell-on percentage terms Barcelona have frequently accepted in past academy-related deals.
However, talks have stalled for now, largely due to Valencia’s unwillingness to match the current valuation. Víctor, for his part, is eager to remain in La Liga and is reportedly enthusiastic about the prospect of working under manager Carlos Corberán.
While other Spanish clubs may explore the possibility of signing him in the coming weeks, few are likely to meet Barcelona’s full asking price, making Valencia’s proposal one of the more realistic options on the table.
