The duo have been in fine form for the Kops and their absence will be sorely missed, hence Klopp is considering making a move for Villarreal winger, Arnaut Danjuma, who joined the Yellow Submarines in the last summer transfer window from Bournemouth for a fee of €23.5million.

Danjuma is eligible to play for the Dutch and Nigeria national team due to having a Dutch father and a Nigerian mother, opted to play for the country of his father and already made his debut for them.

He has been impressive since his transfer from Bournemouth and has already scored seven times and assisted twice in his first 15 appearances for Villarreal.

The Yellows are not likely to give up their new star man easily, but if Liverpool should present a monstrous offer, the opportunity to make a quick profit might prove to be too good to pass over for the management of the club and they could be tempted to make a deal.

Meanwhile…

Villarreal midfielder, Manu Trigueros has extended his stay at the club, signing a new three years deal with the Yellow Submarines. Trigueros has been with the club since 2010, coming through the age groups before making his senior debut in 2012.

He has made 303 first-team La Liga appearances for the club. The current deal will keep the 30-years old at the club until 2025.

Trigueros is an adored figure in Villarreal and this news will be pleasing to the ears of the fans of the club as in his first full season with the club, Trigueros was part of the promotion squad as the Castellon club returned to top flight.

And last season, he played a significant role as Villarreal won their first major title, winning the Europa League.
