In the 80th minute, Franco Escobar of Houston secured the Western Conference Final for LAFC, who are set to face Columbus Crew next Saturday to compete for the prestigious championship. An exciting match earlier on Saturday saw Columbus Crew defeat FC Cincinnati 3-2.

In its sixth season of play, expansion team LAFC has a chance to become the first MLS team to win two titles in a row since the LA Galaxy (2011–12).

Before the smoke from the pregame fireworks show settled from the sold-out BMO Stadium, Vela had LAFC ahead twice in the opening four minutes. However, he missed a clear opportunity in the middle of the box and was offside when he scored a few minutes later.

After Steve Clark stopped Chiellini’s low header from Vela’s corner in the 44th minute, LAFC ultimately took the lead when Hollingshead scored on the rebound, his fifth goal in the Major League Soccer (MLS) this year.

After Dénis Bouanga’s pass to Diego Palacios, whose centering pass was kicked into the net by a sliding Escobar (who appeared in 19 games for LAFC previous season), LAFC finally scored again.

We are now seeing the development of Inter Miami, which will be a power in the league at the start of the next season.

Inter Miami CF’s head coach, Gerardo “Tata” Martino, has declared that the Club is once again interested in bringing in former teammate Luis Suárez during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Martino stated that the team is still interested in signing the 36-year-old Uruguayan during a press conference the day before Miami’s final MLS home game, which ended in a 2-2 draw with Charlotte FC.
