Real Madrid head into this match on a not so assured footing having struggled during their pre-season tour of USA, as they only won one out of their three matches, which included a 1-0 defeat to their rival, Barcelona.
Kevin Trapp, who is also the captain of the team, believes that they can get a result against the Los Blancos despite being the underdog going into the encounter.
“We can beat Real Madrid, we know that”, “If we play with a good attitude, we can win, and win our first title of the season.” Trapp said in a recent interview.
The German side head into the game with their own issues too as they were whipped by Bayern Munich over the weekend in their opening game of the new Bundesliga season, losing at home 6-1 to the defending champions.

Reflecting on his time at Camp Nou, Mingueza admitted that he did not make the most of his chances early in Xavi’s tenure, following which he eventually ended up falling out of favour under the Barça head coach.
“Xavi came to Barça and told us what he wanted. When I had the chance, I didn’t have my best games. If a coach doesn’t like you, it’s difficult for you to get minutes,” Mingueza said.
