More Details
After Ruslan Malinovsky and Rafael Toloi scored and canceled Lautaro Martinez’s early minutes strike, Edin Dzeko scored what will be the last goal of his team’s 2-2 draw in what turned out to be an end-to-end battle with both teams pushing for the win.
And after the game heartbroken Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi believes his men deserve the whole three points after Dimarco missed a penalty.

“It was a thrilling game but we’re gutted about the result,” Inzaghi began.
“Considering the chances we had in the second half I think we deserved more. That’s taking nothing away from Atalanta – they’re a great team and played really well.
“We lost our way in the last few minutes after the missed penalty but I think we were excellent for long spells, particularly in the opening 20 minutes and in the second half. It was a top performance against a very good side.” The coach said.
On the penalty missed by Dimarco, the coach revealed the defender was his best option on the pitch.
I decided Dimarco was going to be our penalty-taker. He practised this morning, along with [Hakan] Calhanoglu, Lautaro and [Ivan] Perisic. I thought Federico looked fresher than Ivan. It’s a shame because he’s made a superb start to the season and he deserved to score the winner at home, in front of our Curva.”

City rival Atalanta with their incredible performance also have a genuine case on why they deserve to leave the San Siro with victory but their coach Gian Piero Gasperini believed ‘it was a fair result between two teams that want to win.’
“Naturally, there were moments that went for one team, moments for the other, but everyone can agree this was a great game between two teams who only wanted to go for the win,” Gasperini told DAZN.

“We were close to losing on a penalty, close to winning on a disallowed goal, so we have to settle for that and call it fair. There were so many scoring opportunities from both sides, anything could’ve happened.”
La Dea has earned a top-four finish over the last three seasons, but Gasperini insists they are still not ready to fight for the Scudetto.
“I said Inter, Milan and Napoli had shown more so far this season and deserved to be up there, while we are trying to get back up the table and have never held back from a challenge. We came very close to winning this game and have gained a great deal of self-belief in recent years.” The coach said.
