More and more indications continue to appear that point to a continuity in the relationship between FC Barcelona, Lionel Messi, and ultimately, the La Liga.
The Barcelona legend remains without a club since the expiry of his contract although reports continue to point towards a contract renewal with the Spanish club once a few financial issues have been sorted out within the club.

Getafe President, Angel Torres, has however confirmed the recent rumors in a recent interview with Onda Cero. Torres says that he has spoken to Barcelona President, Joan Laporta, as well as La Liga President, Javier Tebas concerning the need for the Blaugrana to keep the 34-year-old forward.
“I have discussed it with [Joan] Laporta and also with [Javier] Tebas. La Liga cannot allow Messi to leave. We would all regret it. Players like Messi or Cristiano should continue here.” declared the Getafe President.
