Written By Onyeka Daniel
In the late hours of yesterday, reports filtered in of an agreement between AC Milan and Club Brugge for Ardon Jashari and now, the confirmation has arrived as the Serie A giants finally have an agreement in place for Jashari after weeks of negotiations with Jashari playing his part.
More Details
The Switzerland international is expected to arrive in Italy in the next two to three days to undergo his medicals as the report claims that there is an agreement in principle in place over a €34m deal with an additional €3m in bonuses, although different sources have quoted slightly different fees.

According to several reliable sources in Italy, the deal would be closed for a slightly higher total for a fee of €33.5m plus up to €4.5m in bonuses, some of which were easily achievable and others less certain as Sky Sport claims that Milan are now closing the deal.
All that is left is to discuss the final details with Club Brugge for a deal that will total €37m. The Rossoneri are expecting to have everything wrapped up within the next few hours. If his signing is confirmed, Jashari could become Milan’s fifth new addition of the summer transfer window.
The likes of Luka Modric, Samuele Ricci, Pervis Estupinan and Pietro Terracciano have joined and this would definitely not be the end of their summer transfer. The Rossoneri are also hoping to close a deal with Young Boys for right-back Zachary Athekame at a reported cost of around €10m.
Then, there is Dusan Vlahovic for their attack who is expected to compete with Santiago Gimenez up front. In a related development, reports in Italy claim that Manchester United were offered the chance to sign Vlahovic from Juventus, but they might pass up the opportunity.
Instead, the Red Devils have decided to focus their attention on RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and this according to reports from Tuttosport. Intermediaries proposed the idea of signing Vlahovic to United over the weekend, but the Premier League side have not shown any indication that they are interested.
Instead, United are aiming for the signing of RB Leipzig’s Sesko after a poor season in front of goal in 2024-25 with former Serie A forwards Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee typically leading the line and Juventus are still hoping to sell the Serbian who has less than a year remaining on his contract.
The Old Lady have already brought in Jonathan David this summer and are also hoping to bring back Randal Kolo Muani after his successful loan spell from PSG earlier this year. As things stand, the interest in Vlahovic from AC Milan is the only vaguely viable option.

In a related development, Serie A players have agreed to cut their salaries by 25 per cent if their team is relegated to Serie B, as part of a collective bargaining deal struck by the Players’ Association. It is hoped that this will help clubs to smooth the transition from the top flight to the second division.
This has been known to be devastating for finances of clubs affected. Lega Serie A President Ezio Simonelli declared this was an historic agreement that would help everyone work towards “a football system that is increasingly solid, equal and sustainable.”
This means that players will automatically see their wages cut by 25 per cent in case of relegation from A to Serie B.Other methods of helping clubs to bridge the difference in revenue from the top flight is a parachute payment from the current Serie A sides to those who drop down.

Much of the revenue from being in Serie A comes from television pay per view rights and these parachute payments can go from €10m to €25m, depending on how long they have been in the top flight before their relegation.
