Spanish Champions, FC Barcelona Femení have completed the signing of Keira Walsh from Manchester City on a three-years contract.
More Details
The figure of Keira Walsh’s deal looks to be around €400,000 making it the most expensive deal of this summer transfer for women’s football. The deal sees Walsh with Barcelona until 2025.
Manchester City wanted to keep Walsh, but she was adamant on a move. The move means Keira Walsh, Stanway, Weir and Lucy Bronze leaving City in the same transfer window.
kKeira Walsh after her move said: “My dad’s always made me watch Sergio Busquets and Yaya Toure when he was at Barça, and I’ve watched clips of when Pep was there, playing holding midfield. That’s where I take my influence and inspiration from, the way the Spanish players play.”
