He’s been instrumental in their recent success, scoring the winning goal in a 1-0 victory against FC Cincinnati.

His impressive performance includes a goal or an assist in nine consecutive matches, contributing to Charlotte’s five-game winning streak and their climb up the Eastern Conference standings.

After losing two key starters, Pep Biel and Ashley Westwood, to injuries, head coach Dean Smith moved Zaha into a central attacking position.

The move paid off when Zaha scored a powerful volley in the 85th minute, bringing his season total to an impressive 7 goals and 9 assists in his debut campaign.

This crucial goal propelled Charlotte FC to seventh place in the Eastern Conference. The team is now finding its rhythm and is on track to make the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs for the third consecutive year. Dean Smith believes the team’s performance deserves more recognition.

“We’re the form team, before the game unbeaten in five and won four on the spin,” Smith said. “People should be talking about us as well.”
