Germany Beat France On Penalties To 2023 FIFA U-17 Title

Germany secured a 4-3 win on penalties to clinch the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia on Saturday.

The Germans initially surrendered a two-goal lead before eventually claiming the trophy.
Goals from Paris Brunner and Noah Darvich gave the Germans a 2-0 lead after 51 minutes.
France started the comeback two minutes later from Saimon Bouabre.
With five minutes to the end of the game, Mathias Amougou’s goal took the final into penalties.
Germany won the penalties 4-3 and claimed the title.
Brunner won the golden ball as the best player of the tournament ahead of Hamidou Makalou (Mali) and Amougou.
Meanwhile…
Mali won the third-place match 3-0 against Argentina on Saturday.

Goals from Ibrahim Diarra, Doumbia, and Hamidou Makalou lifted the African side to a podium finish.
Diarra who scored five goals with four assists won the silver boot behind Golden Boot winner Agustin Ruberto who scored eight goals for Argentina.
Argentina’s Claudio Echeverri won the bronze boot.
French goalkeeper Paul Argney took home the Golden Glove while England won the Fair Play prize.
