Kebbi BSC Claim Record Extending Nigeria Beach Soccer League Title

Kebbi Beach Soccer Club (BSC) won their third league title as the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) concludes at the Murtala Muhammed Square, Kaduna State on Saturday.

The Kebbi Fishers as the club is fondly called won two of their three Super 4 games during the three periods allotted regulation time in beach soccer but lost 3-2 on penalties to Kada BSC in their last game.
The defeat didn’t have any impact on the title race as they ended the season with six points, two points better than Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors.
The second team from Kebbi State, Kebbi United BSC finished third with three points while the host, Kada BSC ended their campaign in fourth position with a point.
Six teams started the journey to be crowned the league champions for 2024 season four qualified for the season-ending Super 4.
Debutant Jigawa Golden Star BSC and Nmanko Patigi could not make it to the Super 4 after the regular season.
This will be the third time that Kebbi BSC will win the title as they became the first club to retain the four-year-old league.
They won the maiden edition of the league in Kaduna in 2021.
Kada BSC won the 2022 edition before Kebbi BSC came back to win back-to-back league titles.

Substitutions are unlimited and can be made at any time, regardless of the ball being in or out of play.
Players play barefoot with soft ankle protection.
Each half is divided into three periods of ten minutes. A win when the third period ends attracts three points.
A win by halftime is two points while a penalty win attracts one point as there must be a winner in every game.
