Moorrees Renews Contract With FC Koln

German Bundesliga Women side, FC Koln women have extended the contract with Myrthe Moorrees until June 30, 2023.

The Dutch central defender moved from SC Sand to Cologne in the summer of 2021.
The central defender has extended her contract until the summer of 2023.
After moving from SC Sand to FC Koln, Moorrees immediately became a regular player and made 14 appearances for the FC Koln women this season, scoring one goal. She made three appearances for FC in the DFB Cup.

Myrthe Moorrees after her contact extension told the club website: “My first year here has been great so far, I feel very comfortable – with my teammates, with the coaching and functional team and in this club. I want to help FC to be successful in the future. So there were many reasons why I extended my contract with FC-Frauen.”
FC Koln women are currently in eighth place in the FLYERALARM women’s Bundesliga and are eleven points ahead of the relegation zone. “Even before the season started, I was aware that we have a squad with which we can keep up the class, but you have to put that into practice as a team first. We are now well on the way to achieving our goal. We want to move up step by step. I would also like to recommend myself again for the Dutch national team thanks to good performances in Cologne,” says Moorrees.
In October 2017, Moorrees made his senior debut for the Dutch national team against Austria.

Paraguayan Isabel Rocío Ortiz Caniza moves to Italy and joins Sampdoria Genoa.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper comes to Serie A from Club Sol de América in her native country.
Ortiz is a national team player in her country and made her debut in Albirroj in October 2019.
She became the first Paraguayan women football player to join an Italian Serie A club.
