Thiago Motta Might Have Other Ideas For Impressive Juventus Youngster As Chiesa Looks to Leave The Club

Written By Onyeka Daniel

Juventus are expected to undergo plenty of changes before the 2024-25 season kicks off and apparently the supposed arrival of Thiago Motta is expected to kick things off for the Bianconeri, who are monitoring several players in the transfer market, while also having some players that they’re ready to offload.

More Details

It is expected that they would have to fund their transfer plans somehow, hence the club will have to take some hard decisions regarding some of their players. This means that they will have to sell, and one of such player tipped for the exit door is Argentine winger, Matias Soule, whose future remains uncertain.

He is back at Juventus following a successful loan spell at Frosinone.Having turned down an offer from Saudi Arabia in January, he remains one of the finest young talents available in Italian football at the moment.

Soule was one of the leading scorers in Serie A last season, which should make him a valuable asset that Juventus wants to keep. However, the Bianconeri remain open to his departure and are aware that clubs are interested in the youngster.

They hopes to make around €35 million to €40 million from his sale and is waiting for offers. However, a report on Tuttomercatoweb claims Soule wants to make a name for himself in the Juventus shirt.

The young Argentinian dreams of becoming a key player for the Old Lady one day, and the report claims he hopes the incoming Juventus manager will keep him as a key part of his squad. No one knows what Motta’s plans are until he starts working on the team, but there is a good chance that he might like Soule and keep him in Turin.

Should the former Bologna manager stick with the 4-3-3 formation, Soulé would definitely be a player he should be keeping as he can become like Ricardo Orsolini, whom he coached at Bologna. But that would mean that the club would have to sell another player in his place.

Meanwhile…

Federico Chiesa has been left disappointed by Juventus and has reportedly put Roma at the top of his list should he depart this summer. The 26-year-old has just 12 months left on his contract with the Old Lady and is not convinced about the idea of signing a bridging contract with a lower salary than his current deal.

He is also frustrated with the perceived differences between his treatment and that of Adrien Rabiot. Fali Ramadani, the agent of Chiesa, has already started looking around for a new destination should his client leave Juventus this summer, holding talks with Napoli and Bayern Munich, but one club in particular have started to prove convincing.

According to Calciomercato, Chiesa was left impressed by a phone call with Daniele De Rossi recently and is growing increasingly tempted by the idea of a move to Roma this summer. Ramadani will be in Trigoria next week to speak to the Giallorossi directors, who are interested in snapping up the talented Italian winger. His €40m price tag is considered excessive, so negotiations will be needed to try and iron out an agreement.
